The Corner of Julia Street, Emerils

     The Rotunda condos at 333 Julia Street are located in the heart of the New Orleans Warehouse District. The condos cover the entire block between Commerce and Tchoupitoulas Street. The first floor is a combination of parking, art galleries, offices, Emerils on the corner.

     The 68 units were apartments before becoming condos. The building was converted into apartments in 1989 from a grocery warehouse built about 1910. Then into condos around 2006. There is a combination of one,two and a few units. There are four floors of condos with the fifth floor being penthouses of all shapes and sizes.

    The garage has only 30 spots so half the owners lease a spot across the street. The larger units came with parking spots in the beginning. 

    Many units face street views but some units will face the atrium and common areas inside the building. They still get a lot of natural light but no street views. There will be a few townhouse units but most are flats. A few of the penthouse units will have decks.

    The amenties include a small gym on the first floor.  The rooftop deck and small plastic pool are very nice. Some great city views day and night. The elevators and stairs are in the lobby between the Julia Entrance and the garage entrance. Cars enter from the Tchoupitoulas side of the building.

   Some common elements of all the units are a small updated kitchens. Wood floors in living areas. Washer and Dryer in each unit. Carpets in bedrooms and fairly large bathrooms. Windows are not large but do provide lots of natural light and city views. 

      The Rotunda Condos cover the 300 Block of Julia, 333 Julia is across the street. Both building have commercial condos on 1st floor, parking, Emeril's  and Tommy's. Great Eating Corner
