Neighborhood Condos in New Orleans
Garden District and Uptown Areas
One of my favorite type of New Orleans condo is what I call a "neighborhood Condo" that is generally historic in nature and just fits inot the neighborhood. At one time most of these were double or four plexes in neighborhoods. Some are going to be large homes that were once transformed into rentals and later into condos.
On this pages will be a number of examples of what I am talking about. Most of these will be between Magazine and St. Charles with a few on the other side of St. Charles. They are not easily found unless you walk the neighborhoods and know people who live there.
One thing they all have is common is that they are within walking distance of so many things. These are all going to be close to the street car line on St. Charles and Magazine Street. No need to have a car but generally parking is easy.
Let me take you through the neighborhoods so you can get a feel. I will be adding more as I walk the neighborhoods for more photos and information.

3211 Prytania Street, Looks Like a Plantation
Condos on Penniston Street
A more recent renovation where the units are much larger that many of the condos in other areas. They are now larger as the developers know the demand is there. They know people want updates so the units were gutter and had all new insides while leaving the historic feel that people enjoy in New Orleans.
