The 12 Condos at 8416 Oak Street were new construction in 2005. There have been very few multi-unit new condos in the New Orleans area. The 12 units were all 2 bedrooms and two baths. Most of the units were $249,000 when the units were new. They were townhouse styles with one bedroom up and one bedroom down on the send floor units. There are 3-4 larger units that sold in the 320's range.
The designer's kitchens with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and custom cabinets. The high ceilings, crown moldings, and wood floors make the units feel larger than they are. The units have garage parking and lot parking for 2 cars for each unit. Most of the first floor is garage parking. This is very unusual at this price range. The real estate prices are less in this area.
The pool and courtyard are very private for only 12 units. Secure entrance for parking and the courtyard. The large porches are very large and few condos can match the outdoor areas for a complex of 12 units. There is an elevator plus several stairways to the upper floors
