Metairie Condos and Town homes give you many more choices in the New Orleans metro area another group excellent excellent choices. Jefferson is the largest parish in the state of Louisiana and the East bank is the area where most of the condos will be. There are a number of conversions and plenty of community condos. The community condos were built mainly 20-25 years ago and are going to reflect that. There are going to be some newer high end developments such as Delimon Place and Park Du Lac on the on the lake. The older units have been maintained very well and you can get a tow bedroom unit in the 140-180k range in most of the market.
There are few planned units such as Audubon Trace that offer the upper middle segement that is in so much demand as an alternative to a single family home. Audubon Trace starts in the 180k to 260k range which is the real feel of a community. I have highlighted most of those below that have a community feel and were built as Condos. There are a number of conversions that are too numerous to mention so I will mention only the more popular ones.
Jefferson Parish is an easy commute to New Orleans. The big advantage of living in Jefferson is cost. Taxes are cheaper along with utilities, water, and insurance. There are different life-styles as I sell in both areas about 50/50.
