The One Metairie Place Condos are actually three building of 49 units with each building being 3 stories. The condos were converted into Condos in 2004 and not finished unit 2006. There are primarily a lot of one bedrooms with some two bedroom also. There are some rather large one bedrooms. The condo fees are reasonable and cover water, common areas, parking, swimming pools, termite contracts, pest control and insurance. The building is secure by the front gate and gated parking with most units having covered parking.
Each of the building has its own pool, mail room, elevators and rear entrance from the parking lot. There are visitor spots in the rear also. All the units have washer and dryer hook-ups. The kitchens, baths, and living areas were all redone in 2004 plus so all should be in nice shape. Granite counter-tops, crown molding, wood and tile floors were the norm in the first two buildings. The third was finished after Katrina and this were not as finished as the first two. The condos are pet friendly.
The One Metairie Place Condos have been popular because they are in the heart of Metairie next door to Old Metairie near shopping centers and the major interchanges of what is considered downtown Metairie. The area is very safe and gated parking is a plus. They are behind Sav-A-Center and Perinos on Veterans Highway. The taxes in Jefferson parish are among the lowest in the metro area with the largest amount of services. You are also exempt from the first 75k of value from property taxes.
