The Ponchartrain Condos are about 4 blocks from the Orleans Parish line in Metiaire or the neighborhood known as Bucktown. The 93 units sit atop a garage and storage area. The condos overlook the lake.

The common areas really set this condo association apart from many in New Orleans and Metairie. You can enjoy a large courtyard with pool, clubhouse, lake views, tropical gardens, hot tub, streams, balconies and some great views across the levee.

All the units have balconies. All the units have washer and dryers in the unit. There are one and two bedroom units. Many of the tow bedroom units are 2 story units. The elevators do not go to all the units as some will only have stairs. Each unit has one designated parking spot in the garage which is the first floor. There is however a lot of extra space for parking for your second car and for visitors. Each unit has a nice storage room near the parking spot.

There was no flooding here for Katrina but the complex did have wind damage. It is now better than ever.

You will find that many of the units are dated but over time more and more are updated with things that people want today. That is going to be the main differences in prices.

The location is ideal for the prices. You are close to the lake. You can ride your bike or walk to the New Orleans Marina in Lakeview and jump on the interstate via Pontchartrain Blvd. to downtown New Orleans. You are almost in Lakeview. You are near plenty of places to eat and drink. Walk the levee to Bucktown and to the Lake Pontchartrain shoreline.
