Rue Chardonnay Condos

Located across from the Esplanade Mall in Kenner this complex offers a central location in Kenner and an average commute to New Orleans. The 200 plus units are spread over a large area with swimming pool, tennis courts, and on site maintenance crews. Townhouse style units of mostly 3 bedrooms and 2 baths with some 2 bedroom units are sprinkled around the complex. Security patrols the area at nite. Each unit has a reserved space and plenty leftover for another car. The 3 bedroom units are 1700 sq. ft. with 2 large bedrooms up and a guest down. These are some of the larger units in the area for the money. All the units have fireplaces, living/dining room combos and an
 eat-in kitchen. A small patio outside the kitchen is the norm. The prices of the units will vary depending upon the updates and improvements of each. The prices will always be in a range with plenty of comps available. The condo fees were in the 220 range in 2005. The best thing about the units is that you get a lot of size and storage in the attic. Current upgrades include new roofs and new hearty board siding being installed which is a real plus when it is finished.
Most of the units flooded after Katrina from rising waters from the canal. I believe the water did not stay for a long period and was only inches deep in most of the units. Some of the units did not flood. Since the storm most of the units have been repaired and all have a new look. The residents were covered by the condos flood insurance.

 The best things about the units are the size of the units and its central location in Kenner. One of the few places where you can find a 3 bedroom and 2 bath units. All the units are townhouse style units. They are also easy to resell because these factors. Updating the units does pay off when you are ready to move on.
